MAKE THE PILL THE PUNCHLINE.

Art Direction + Concept Development

A playful Viagra concept exploring how cultural language can make a clinical conversation feel more human.

THE CHALLENGE

How can we make a conversation around erectile dysfunction feel less clinical and more approachable?

Conversations around ED often lean heavily on clinical language. I wanted to explore a more human, culturally familiar approach. One that acknowledges the spontaneity, humor and intimacy that surround the condition without making the subject feel overly serious.

HUMAN. PLAYFUL. UNEXPECTED.

THE EXPLORATION

I started by thinking about the language people naturally use around intimacy. Particularly the shorthand, humor and casual expressions that show up in texts and everyday conversations.

THE CREATIVE IDEA

Take familiar, cheeky expressions and pair them with the iconic blue pill — turning the product itself into the punchline.

U Up?

A familiar late-night text becomes an instantly recognizable expression of spontaneity.

Do yourself a solid.

A familiar expression takes on a playful double meaning when the pill becomes the message.

THE CAMPAIGN

The concept is designed to flex across consumer and professional touch-points while keeping the central creative device intact: the pill is the message.

THE TAKEAWAY

The goal wasn't to make ED communication “funny.” It was to find a familiar cultural language that could make a traditionally clinical conversation feel more human. Then build a flexible creative system around it.
